Evaluation of “Genuss Regionen Österreich” Initiative
The aim of the project was to assess the increase value added of the initiative to support traditional regional food products under Austrian Rural Development Programme. The evaluation work included interviews with actors of various initiatives, statistical data collection and an assessment of the economic development and benefits for rural areas.

Export Initiative for the Austrian Agriculture and Food Processing Industry (“Export 1-24”) 
The aim of the project was to provide training and information to the Austrian food processing sector to increase the competitiveness and performance regarding the entrance in new export markets. The initiative was implemented in co-operation with relevant stakeholders (Chamber of Agriculture, Chamber of Commerce, Agrar Markt Austria as marketing organisation). The initiative implemented trainings for Austrian food processing companies to manage successfully the entrance in new markets, to promote direct investments, to participate in Austrian show cases and to facilitate contacts with importers and retailers in export markets.

Development of agri food projects and applications for funding
The aim of the consultancy work was to support agri businesses in the development of investment projects and the preparation of applications for funding under the EU pre accession programme for agriculture and rural development. The work included the technical and financial design of projects, eligibility checks and support in the development of business plans.

Image analysis of Austrian Food Products
The aim was to assess the consumer perceptions regarding Austrian food products in terms of quality, environmental friendly production, freshness, organic products, price and packaging. The work on the study included the results of a wide survey on the image of Austrian food products on targeted export markets, namely Czech Republic and Italy. The results of the study intended to support Austrian food processors to specifically target important export markets.

Export Manuals for Agriculture and Food Processors 
The aim of the project was to develop manuals to promote the export of agricultural and food products to Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe. The manuals include comprehensive market analysis on raw material production, quality standards of local food products, consumer and demographic trends, situation of distribution, wholesale market and retail sector. Specific information is provided on existing trade regimes with EU third countries, association agreements, export refunds and investment support for direct foreign investments.

Concept for a Cooperative Centre of Excellence for the Agri Food Sector “Agroinnocessing”
The overall objective of the project was to elaborate a feasibility study for the merger of the existing institutions of the Austrian research and development into a Centre of Excellence aimed at offering research & development and innovation services in production, processing and packaging for the Austrian agri-food sector on a competitive level through the merger of the leading organisations of the Austrian research & development and innovation sector. Facilitating know how transfer and core services on technological and technical areas to increase competitiveness of agri-food sector. Main target group were small & medium sized companies and agricultural holdings.
